Professor Rath – Murder is an art form

Professor Heinrich Rath is a lecturer in art history at the Institute for Art and Music Studies at Dresden Technical University. He believes that killing without reason can be a form of creative act. Murder is an art form. This thesis, which Rath derives from art history, is not without controversy. After a series of bizarre murders, Rath is considered the prime suspect and is arrested. However, he manages to refute the suspicion. Immediately after his release, Rath sets out to find the perpetrator, who is about to create his magnum opus.

Professor Heinrich Rath ist Dozent für Kunstgeschichte am Institut für Kunst- und Musikwissenschaften der Technischen Universität Dresden. Er ist der Ansicht, dass grundloses Töten eine Form des schöpferischen Akts sein könne. Mord sei eine Kunst. Diese These, die Rath aus der Kunstgeschichte ableitet, bleibt nicht ohne Widerspruch. Nach einer Reihe von bizarren Morden gilt Rath als Hauptverdächtiger und wird verhaftet. Es gelingt ihm jedoch, den Tatverdacht zu entkräften. Gleich nach seiner Entlassung macht sich Rath auf die Suche nach dem Täter, der sich gerade anschickt, sein Hauptkunstwerk zu schaffen.
